Day 17: One Crazy Weekend

In the spring of 2001, I, and three girlfriends, headed to Chicago for a girl’s weekend.  It was a couple of month’s before my wedding, so I looked at it as a sort of last hurrah weekend.  We planned to shop, eat and take in a little nightlife.  Good, clean fun.  Turns out that as soon as we boarded the plane, four college-educated, well-traveled women started acting like they had never been anywhere.  Totally insane but the best weekend of my life!

It all started with long island iced teas (which we don’t even drink) and ended with one of my girls in the hospital having emergency gall bladder surgery.  In between there was dancing, eating, shopping, trips to Shedd, a hottie nigerian cabbie and Babs on the mic performing spoken word.  Good times!

I will never ever forget that weekend.  It provided some of the funniest memories I have ever had!
